Sadly, there is a ton of free porn available. I don't work much at all with building sites anymore.. If I do any work, it's creating banners, etc for other peeps.

I often wonder if anyone really pays for porn anymore? My guess is that if they do, it's b/c they have a favorite model and they prefer to see more of that model ... or they prefer a niche that is not that common and hard to find via free porn...

So I guess if I was promoting a paysite, I would choose a particular model or a very unique niche....

This is where sales techniq comes into play, You have to make a surfer understand that there not going to get free whats in a paysite. Also convience works a lot in your favor. Surfers don't realize what kind of traps await them at some of these crappy sites. Its even worse on non adult sites. Yesterday I when I was looking for fake check on google for the one post here. Second link there cames that fake antivirus crap. I had to alt-f4 to get out of it. The business model we have sucks. I have always said that. It started out back in the day when people just put up scans and stolen images that they got off BBS's. Then sponors wanted traffic so they paid people to put banners and links to there paysites. That how we started. We never grew from that. It was wild west, there was no rules, still isn't. What held sites size down back then and stopped these massive sites was the cost of bandwidth. That and server power size. Most servers back then was pentium 100 with 128 megs of ram. If you was huge you had your site on multiple servers.

The question is have we gone to far to go back? Webmasters don't realize how much could be made if we pulled the hardcore, if we came to an agrement on video size. We are pissing millions and millions away because of greed for traffic.

I only said to a guy today... I could use free chip fat oil to drive my diesal car, but Id still rather pay for the proper thing. You could go to the free bar or pay to get into the proper club.
I think that some people, even my friends, wont and shall never pay for porn. But so many still shall.

Its certainly a sad fact that there is lots of freeporn, especially stolen porn. Probably the reason why, as rvince says, wont pay for porn. But as said, There are still many people that would rather watch a proper film thats is part of membership.

I read the majority of those post. I felt the thread turned into a pissing contest. When you get young guys togather, lies about conquest and money are natual chain reactions. This is not to say that the majority of those folks are never going to pay for porn. I do bet a lot of guys in that thread had purchased those $1 to $4 membeships before, and were not man enough to admit it.
